Surviving to Thriving
Step 3: Exploring Thriving

Explore the tools to move from Surviving into Thriving

Thriving is developing the tools to calm Survival Mode reactivity and CHOOSE how to think, feel, and engage in life. This course provides many examples of Survival Mode thoughts, feelings, and behaviors and then describes their Thriving Mode counterparts.

You can learn to Thrive! You deserve to live a more conscious life.

As a psychologist for over 40 years, I’ve had the opportunity learn how people overcome anxiety, depression, and trauma. I know what it takes to manage our natural Survival Mode reactivity. As a life-coach and spiritual teacher for 15+ years, I’ve helped many people learn how to truly Thrive in life and Awaken to a greater consciousness.

This 23 Lesson Course will Help You:

      • Find ways to see how life is happening FOR you rather than happening TO you
      • Learn to be grounded and present rather than reactive and focused on the past and future
      • Make healthy choices that are satisfying and have long-term benefits
      • Consciously activate gratitude, awe, joy, and love rather than waiting for those to occur
      • Celebrate all of you, even the parts you judge as bad, inadequate, or ugly
      • Consciously evolve past your historical roots and personality

Take a sneak peek into a few of the lessons

What Thriving is Not

Survival Mode Thinking

Wired for Surviving and Thriving

There are 10 domains thriving can occur within

Some of these domains may occur naturally to you because of your biology, personality style, or history. If you want to develop these, keep in mind that Thriving is about choosing to make consistent small changes rather than be overwhelmed by big changes.

SURVIVAL MODE

Thoughts

Thoughts stem from a sense of separateness. Because we see ourselves as separate from our essence or greater consciousness, there is an experience of vulnerability underlying and perpetuating our reactivity.

Emotions

Emotions such as anger, fear, anxiety, panic, depression, guilt, shame, etc. have all had an important role in keeping us safe and connected–the two core aspects of thriving

Behaviors

Behaviors are natural protective actions that serve us in life-threatening situations, but end up keeping us in Survival Mode until we recognize and convert them.

THRIVING MODE

Thoughts

Thriving thoughts embrace and celebrate all of you, even the parts you judge as bad, inadequate, or ugly. They are based on a grounded, clear-minded, & open hearted  presence.

Emotions

Emotions such as trust, calm groundedness, love, self-acceptance, & self-compassion allow us the freedom to thrive. You are learning to choose emotions for your holding environment and to flow with life.

Behaviors

Thriving behaviors require the capacity to be aware & choose what is in our best interest regardless of impulsive urges. The more we practice thriving behaviors the sooner they become healthy habits.
