Thriving and Awakening Tip
Anger is a natural emotion when you feel threatened. It allowed your ancestors to have the strength to fight off predators of the tribe. It will swiftly appear today if you feel threatened. This is normal and under life-threatening situations, healthy.
However, anger gets activated in everyday stressors such as the rain, traffic, or your phone not working. Every time you get angry, even a little bit, you have a cascade of hormones that kick in such as adrenaline and cortisol that contribute to inflammation in the body. Over time the accumulation contributes to a lower immune system and increases cardiovascular risks.
Thus, anger at others or situations hurts you!
