Thriving and Awakening Tip

You are wired to be safe and connected, but this keeps you in Survival Mode. Vigilance is the body’s way to ensure that safety. You are scanning your environment all the time. Can you trust or rely on someone you care about? Will the weather cooperate with your plans? Are you going to be valued by others? The list is endless. You’re also vigilant about yourself, constantly wondering if you are enough—smart enough, wealthy enough, attractive enough, etc.

Thriving Mode is choosing how to think, feel, and behave rather than automatically reacting out of Survival Mode. Awareness allows you to be conscious of the vigilance and then choose how you want to see others and yourself. It’s a choice.

Vigilance activates your body for life-threatening situations. It depletes your reserves when used for everyday events. Awareness allows you to be conscious and proactive from a calm, clear-minded, and open-hearted way.

Thrive today by being aware from a calm and loving place.
