Thriving and Awakening Tip

Arthur Ashe illustrates some Thriving Tools.  “Start where you are” is an example of Complete Acceptance.  It allows you to embrace the moment rather than resisting it. Then you can be proactive from a centered and grounded place.

“Use what you have” is a recognition and acknowledgement of the competencies you already have. It counters the frequent self-judgment of not being enough. Knowing and feeling your capacity as you already are is a strong thriving quality.

“Do what you can” is an example of self-encouragement which is part of the Self-Compassion thriving tool. Doing what you can and knowing you will learn from whatever you do turns every situation into an opportunity. That is being kind and compassionate towards yourself.

Arthur Ashe was a living example of thriving.
