Thriving and Awakening Tip

Notice how many movies, books, and songs are about Love. When people are suffering we naturally reach out with compassion, a form of love.  We come together to share in the love of people getting married, graduating, or having a baby.  Love is our natural state.

When we feel threatened in some way, love gets closed off so we can protect ourselves and others from harm.  War and oppression require a closing off of the heart in order to have power over others. In Survival Mode this feels like strength.

Thriving Mode is learning that challenges in life are opportunities to expand our capacity to love.  It is easy to have compassion for the victim and much harder to love the perpetrator.  But the perpetrator is cut off from their heart and needs love just as much or more.

In Awakening Mode we experience our very nature as love.  We accept the survival tendencies and love the part that is scared.  We love everything because everything is as aspect of love.

Love is Who We Are.
