Thrive and Awaken® Tip

Young children naturally embody innocence–a sense of openness, curiosity, and trust. Over time, adults tend to lose their innocence.

We learn to fear others and then avoid people we perceive as unsafe–politically, racially, culturally, etc. The more we mistrust, fear, and distance ourselves from others, the more alienated we feel. It becomes a vicious cycle.

Thriving involves breaking this cycle by developing curiosity and open-heartedness towards those who are different. By welcoming diversity, an essential aspect of life on this planet, we learn to recapture our well-deserved sense of innocence.
