Thriving and Awakening Tip

You naturally contract as part of Survival Mode. When you’re stressed there is an automatic fight/flight/freeze reaction limiting your options. You might experience it as frustration, disappointment, anticipation, etc.

When you stop, take a deep breath, and observe yourself having the feelings, you are moving into Thriving Mode. Awareness allows you to notice the contractedness. Once aware, you get to choose how to manage the situation, so it’s less stressful. Choosing how to think, feel, and behave is the hallmark of thriving.

Awareness is the prerequisite to choosing. Enjoy!
