Thriving and Awakening Tip
Anger is a normal emotion and a healthy one under life-threatening situations. Your animal-like instincts need to take over when you are in danger. Anger can feel powerful, and who doesn’t want to feel powerful!?
Consistent anger for everyday stressors is not healthy for you, and it limits your ability to respond in a thoughtful and kind way. When you are ramped up on adrenaline and cortisol, you are limited in finding possible resolutions to conflict.
Your anger can also feel threatening to others and put them in Survival Mode. The world needs everyone, including you, to resolve differences by thinking more clearly and not hurting others. Learning to Thrive allows you to choose how you want to respond rather than react.
From a thriving place, you can be firm yet calm and respectful. This is true power.
