Thriving and Awakening Tip
Accepting life as it is supports your thriving. Resisting what is puts you in Survival Mode. Although it is natural to resist what is uncomfortable or undesirable, it is not in your best interest. It creates stress hormones and inflammation that negatively affects your health.
When we accept, it allows us to be grounded, open-hearted, and clear-minded while being proactive in resolving life stressors. It allows you more freedom to evolve and be creative in choosing how you want to feel, think, and act.
Practicing acceptance enhances the capacity to surrender, an integral part of Awakening. This is when you recognize how much of your life is truly out of your control. For example, you have no control of what thoughts appear to you, when your heart beats, and if your phone works. Surrendering is learning to flow with life as it is.
