Surviving to Thriving Step 1: Recognizing Survival Mode

Learn how to recognize your Survival Mode reactions so you can release them.

This course explores the ways you naturally move into Survival Mode during life threatening situations as well as during everyday stress. During the 9 lessons you will understand how Survival Mode and its fight/flight/freeze reactions are wired into the brain for your literal survival.  Although it’s an ingrained reaction it gets in the way of your Thriving and Awakening.

This course provides the opportunity to reflect on the ways your thoughts, feelings, behaviors, and body experience Survival Mode. You will also explore how Survival Mode is present in nature, animals, and our culture.

Each lesson has a summary of the key points and some reflection practices to help you know yourself more deeply. Take your time after each lesson to really explore how it applies to you. It is recommended you take two weeks per lesson to really digest AND experience its message.

Remember you can’t thrive until you recognize the ways you survive or just get by in life. When you apply the following three Thriving Tools, you will significantly increase your capacity to recognize and release life-long habits. Those tools are:

Ground and Breathe
Compassionate Curiosity
Complete Acceptance

Enjoy the journey of self-discovery into your Survival Mode nature!
