Surviving to Thriving Step 4: Clearing Reactivity

Welcome to Clearing Reactivity! (UNDER CONSTRUCTION)

The Courses for Steps 1-3 have prepared you to release automatic reactions and replace them with Thriving and Awakening qualities.

In Step 1: Recognizing Survival Mode, you learned how your body looks for threats and triggers the fight, flight, or freeze reaction to protect you and others. Although adaptive in life threatening situations, these same reactions are not healthy when they become a way of coping with everyday stress.

In Step 2: Creating a Holding Environment, you learned the importance of meeting your reactivities with love and support. A safe space for transformation helps counter the neglect, anger, and disappointment that can surface with early self-awareness.

Step 3: Exploring Thriving Mode guided you in converting thoughts, emotions, physical reactions, behaviors, and energies from reactivity to Thriving qualities.

Now you are ready for the next Step 4: Clearing Reactivity.

This course teaches specific methods to calm and release unnecessary reactivities and replace them with Thriving and Awakening qualities.

Highlights:

  • Learn a clear, step by step process to prepare for a clearing.
  • Identify the specific thoughts, emotions, behaviors, and body cues to target.
  • Follow along with several clearing tools, including Tapping for Thriving, Forehead Hold, Eye Movement Desensitization & Reprocessing (EMDR), and Chakra Connections.
  • Shift perspective from a narrow survival lens to an expansive consciousness of Thriving and Awakening.
  • Watch four volunteers use the Clearing Reactivities methods.

This course helps you clear survival reactivity that may have been accumulating all your life. A key feature is practicing what will replace reactivity, so you naturally meet daily stressors with Thriving qualities.

Video lessons guide you through each part of a clearing. Practice the elements as you learn them in each lesson. Please download the Clearing Reactivity Worksheetbefore starting.  It summarizes the lessons and gives you a place to record your reflections. It is best to wait on a full clearing until you have completed all lessons.

Once you complete the course and practice the parts, future clearings will flow more easily. The Worksheet is for the video lessons. The Clearing Reactivity Guide will be used to guide you in future clearings and be a record of your process.

Take your time learning the 8 parts of Clearing Reactivity. The material is comprehensive and benefits greatly from practice and review. You may find it helpful to watch the lessons more than once. After you are familiar with the Guide, you can also download the Clearing Reactivity Guide — Brief Version for a shorter option.
